The work ‘Field Notations’ is a series of three abstract structures, which could be considered as multi-dimensional drawings. In an attempt to shift our observed reality into other space/time possibilities, the structures are left to re iterate themselves with both the movement of the animated light and with the viewer’s movement - I’m interested in the ability of the actual form and the potential form to seemingly swap places.

The work is made up of wooden and plastic rods, which lean or protrude from the wall, painted lines on the wall and floor and animated lines of light. These varying lines visually oscillate between what is object and what is drawn, and what projects and what recedes.
This movement exemplifies the continual state of flux within physical world systems that we are unaware of and can only be seen at the quantum level.
